A Big Thankyou
Buddies on Bigge Island

Freddo doesn't just want to look at the aboriginal paintings on Bigge Island, he has a go at drawing his own. But not on the cave walls, Freddo!

Neat'n Finds a Turtle Shell
No, not an actual shell. Neat'n finds a painting of a turtle shell and wonders what kind of turtle it was.
He's already found signs of turtles nesting on the island, which is very cool.

Matt is happy to sit back and admire the different paintings on the walls of the Bigge Island caves. Maybe he is making up a story about the aboriginal man, the white man with a pipe and the wallaby or kangaoo.

Minty takes a good look at a Wandjina figure that has it's eyes carved out of the rock. That's very unusual in aboriginal paintings of Wandjina, Minty.

What's that rustling in the bushes? Is it a snake? Is it a crocodile?
Nah, it's just Reginald, off climbing trees again!

Capt'n Burra thought exploring the caves was the best part about Bigge Island, especially when he found a nest just the right size for himself! Not a bad spot for a nest, hey Capt'n Burra?

Ducky checks out a painting of an aboriginal man in a cave on Bigge Island, in the Kimberley Coast region.

Dunstall stumbles across the painting of a lizard and a giant animal footprint at the entrance to one of the caves on Bigge Island, in the Kimberley Coast region.

Winston thought exploring the caves was very cool and found himself a comfortable spot for a snooze.
But from all the droppings around, I think someone else might use it as a place for a nap too!

Hobo gets a close look at a Wandjina, an important figure in aboriginal paintings. Pretty impressive, don't you think, Hobo?

While exploring the caves, Sandy realised that all the things growing down from the roof of the caves to the floor are actually tree roots from the trees on top of the cliffs! Wierd!
