Dirk, Zac and Steve hang out together on the fore course yard.

Melissa gave Shannon, Tristan and Dean a lesson in tying gassets while aloft on the fore course yard, although Dean decided horsing around was more fun!

Peter shows off the first tuna that we caught from the ship! Fresh fish for dinner, yum!

Our young voyage crew, Tristan, Amanda, Dean and Zac, take a moment out of their busy watches to socialise and enjoy the sunset.

Dirk meets a friendly local booby which hitched a ride overnight on the ship. It sat on the aft deck without any fear for quite sometime before it chose a more comfortable spot in the rigging overnight.

Whale sightings have been very frequent all the way down the West Australian coast, all Humpback whales and many were mothers with calves.

The most bizare sighting was this Humpback whale which just sat in the water with his fluke above the water, occassionally coming up for a breath of fresh air.
We drifted past watching quietly and when we finally turned our engine back on the whale disappeared...

...and reappeared soon afterwards only 100m away off our bow with a huge breach, before swimming slowly away! Thanks for the show!
