The Windeward Bound anchored off Montebello Island, a nuclear test site 50 years ago.
Arriving a few days after the 50th anniversary, some of the crew spent an hour ashore looking around the ground zero site.
Safety guidelines restrict visitors to one hour on shore, recommend that nothing is removed and don't allow camping on the island.
